As warming up increases the flow of blood to the muscles, it is crucial prior to any sport or exercise regime if we are to avoid injury. Warming up can include gently jogging or even walking or static stretching whereby you stretch out your legs and arms, and in increasing the muscle temperature you limit the chances of injury.
